Outfit of the Day # 18: Fall

Assalam wa Alaykum/ Hi,

This post was supposed to go up earlier, but laptop wasn't cooperating and wouldn't let me upload the photos. -_-

I haven't done an 'outfit of the day post' in a while. So, since it's officially fall and it definitely feels like it (most days). I wanted to post an outfit that really made me feel the Fall season. Of course, this means that there are of a lot of browns.

I love the detailing on this top.

Jacket: T.J. Maxx (old)
Shirt: Charlotte Russe
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: Call It Spring
Hijab: ICNA

This has been one of my favorite outfits so far.
So, That's it.

Until Next Time,
Aleema :)

Outfit of the Day # 17- Beach Edition

Assalamu wa Alaykum/ Hi,

I hope everyone that is fasting is having an easy time. It seems to get easier everyday for me and for that I am very thankful because I am not nice when I'm hungry. I get hangry especially if I'm hot.

Today's Outfit of the day post is a throwback to almost a year ago. (How time flies!) When I was in Grenada in the Caribbean. I would wear this outfit when I was going to the beach or knew that I was going to get wet.

Please excuse the lack of makeup and my hijab. The humidity and wind was relentless.

These pictures are from two different days. They entire outfit is the same except the hijabs.

The long racer back tank top is from Target. It was in their sleepwear section. (Yay for re-purposing!) Its thin very soft and stretchy. I can never remember where I bought these white shirts from. But, they can be found at clothing store that has a basics line. The green cargo pants might be from Old Navy or The Gap. I'm not exactly sure. The green hijab in the first picture is from J.C. Penny. The hijab in the second picture is from a store called Rainbow.

So, That's it.
Until Next Time,

Aleema :)

Outfit of the Day #16

Assalamu wa Alaykum/ Hi,

Today I wanted to share my outfit that I wore on Saturday. It was the outfit I wore in this Instagram picture:

If you don't follow me on Instagram, I have button for all my social media on the right. So, you can follow me if you'd like. I went with a friend to the Cherry walk near the Hudson River. It was such a nice day out. We had frozen yogurt and did a lot walking around. Now, if only the weather could have stayed that nice. It's supposed to rain all week.

This is my outfit laid out:

The top can technically be used as a dress. I bought it from Forever 21. I don't remember where I got the long sleeve shirt. You could probably find something similar in the basic section of any clothing store. I've had the green cargo pants since high school, I believe they're from T.J. Maxx. The bag is from Target. I bought it online. It's smaller than I thought it would be but it still fits a lot of stuff. The scarf is from J.C. Penny. The pink inner head piece was from a local Islamic store in Brooklyn.

The sandals are also from Forever 21. I like the rose gold that goes across. It makes it a little more special than your average flip flop.
Sorry about the squinting in the picture above. The sun was really bright that day!

So, That's it.
Until Next Time,
Aleema

Outfit of the Day # 15

Assalamu wa Alaykum/ Hi,

I was in Dubai Mall yesterday and I was really loving my outfit. So, I decided to do a Outfit of the Day post. I know I've been lagging on these.

Shirtdress: American Eagle
I've been loving American Eagle and Forever 21 here. I've spent way more money in these stores than I really should have. I also took this picture in the AE dressing rooms. heh
This dress was still on the rack when I took the picture. Awkward.
Cardigan: Kohl's
The cardigan has a lace back so I had let my hijab hang more in the back rather than pulling it forward like normal. Otherwise, the sides of my shoulders would have been showing.
Hijab: ICNA
Bag: Forever 21
Another more recent purchase. :)

So, that's it.
Until Next Time,

Aleema :)

Outfit of the Day # 12

Assalam Wa Alaykum/ Hi,
I should be studying but I decided to take a quick break and make this post. I've been slacking on taking pictures for this fall/ winter. But, I happen to have some that I have not put up and this is one of them.

I'm not quite sure how to describe the top I'm wearing in this. As you can see it is a button-down and it comes with a belt. I'm wearing a white inner shirt because it is sleeveless and black jeans. For my hijab I'm wearing a sparkly white hijab with a purplish-maroon hijab that has little baubles on the ends of it. I've shown the last hijab before in a haul I think. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this already but the only thing I don't like about it is that if you don't style it right the baubles will hit you in the face. That's it.
P.S. I have an instagram! My username is asanusi. So, check it out.
Until Next Time
Aleema :)

Outfit of the Day# 8/ Lake Ontario

Assalam wa Alaykum/ Hi,

So, I decided to put today's outfit up first because it has one new hijab out of two i got in the mail recently :). So, I was excited to wear it.

Sorry about the bad picture quality. I have poor lighting in my room. Yes, I am standing on a chair in that second photo. Also, this is a new hijab style! It was supposed to Marafy's chic style but it wasn't long enough so I ended up inventing something else.

Here are some alternate views. I'm not sure if anybody would be interested in knowing how I did this. However, if you are let me know and I will find a way to tell you...? I'm not sure how I'm going to do that. I don't think I could do the video hijab tutorial thing... Those wonderful hijabis get too many negative comments. Anyway, I wanted to show the lake that my college campus is practically sitting on...Lake Ontario. Yup, I'm that far up. So far from NYC. :(

So that's it for now
Until Next Time :)
